Music at St. John’s

If you want to sing with us at the 10 AM service, just show up at 9 AM for rehearsal! We love to sing at St. John’s. Many of our members regularly provide acoustic music and sing solos for our services. At any given service, you might hear music from any one of the multiple Episcopal hymnals along with your favorite hymnal “greatest hits." None of our musical staff (other than a visiting organist on 3rd and 4th Sundays) are paid, so our music ministry is entirely lay-lead. Some of our special music offerings include Acoustic-Taize-Paperless-Chanting Evening Prayer during Lent, Summer Second Sundays Acoustic Mass, Third Friday Summer Concerts in the Horseshoe and the occasional visiting choir. (Groups love to sing in our church because the acoustics are marvelous!) More musical offerings are in the works, so make sure you join our email list to learn more.
