Val Valverde, Sr. Warden, Class of 2026
St John's has been my parish since 2011. I was searching for a spiritual home along with my partner. St John's filled that need. I enjoy being a part of the choir and also serving as a verger. I have served as Senior Warden on the Vestry for the past two years.

My parents were attending St. John’s in 1971 when I was visiting from grad school. I was married there. All three of my sons were baptized there. Dad and I were the first father/son Senior Wardens (the head of the church government. Both my mom and my wife were offered the job; both were too smart to take it)
St. John’s has always welcomed everyone. We are brothers and sisters, and our family wants to include you.

Grace McPhillips Lunsford, Jr. Warden, Class of 2028
After the "pandemic church break", I looked online to see about St. John's for an easter return. My parents were ill and under my care in addition to having three little ones. SJEC met our needs gently and with holy respect. My husband and I have been able to contribute musically, and I helped create a children's community choir, CPKidsChoir.org, supported by the church. The experience helped me offer my leadership to serve the greater parish, and I have no regrets.

Emily Boyle, Clerk, Class of 2028
I found St. John’s in 2022 after moving to the Tri-Cities and quickly discovered a church that feels like home. I want to help our parish remain rooted in integrity and community so that anyone seeking comfort, worship, or belonging can find it here.
